SAND LAND, a new game based on the work of Akira Toriyama, has a demo available now on multiple platforms. As a fledgling anime nerd, I needed to get in on this.

The demo provides a sense of the open world (at least at the beginning) and some of the combat the unique vehicles that the game is largely based around will provide.

With those positives, the demo does fall a little short of a sense of progression, or really even revealing the short or long-term goals our character is trying to achieve through the combat and exploration. There are some hints...
